Boynton Beach Police to hold citizens police academy

ASI is owned and operated by Bill Ferrell III, a retired Lieutenant from the Florida Highway Patrol with over twenty-five (25) years of law enforcement experience ranging from road patrol to traffic homicide investigations in the South Florida area. Six of Bill’s twenty-five (25) years with the Florida Highway Patrol were assigned to the Dignitary Protection (DP) unit, which was responsible for providing security protection to the Lieutenant Governor of the State of Florida. In the mid 1980’s and during the Southern Governor’s Conference in Miami-Dade, he spent seven (7) days assigned to the Dignitary Protection (DP) unit of the North Carolina Highway Patrol helping and assisting with the security protection for the Governor of North Carolina. In 1999 and during the inaugural celebration of Governor Jeb Bush & Lt. Governor Frank Brogan, he was reassigned to the Dignitary Protection (DP) unit to assist in providing security protection for the family of then Treasurer / Insurance (United States Senator) Commissioner Bill Nelson.
